During 2006 Kane Street Synagogue published an online journal in celebration of the congregation’s first 150 years. Highlights of the thirty-five-issue series include: reminiscences of friends; stories about controversial Rabbis and spirited meetings; a B’nai Mitzvah registry; an index of more than one thousand marriage records from the early twentieth century. The rich collection of Brooklyn Daily Eagle newspaper articles from the Brooklyn Public Library provides a glimpse into the lives of nineteenth century Jewry and our predecessor congregation, Baith Israel. Eagle articles are available in pdf in the Contents below and at The Brooklyn Daily Eagle Online ™ site.
