Kane Street members are involved in many acts of G'milut Chasadim, acts of loving kindness, such as supporting those who are ill, care-giving, homebound, or bereaved.
The Kane Street Synagogue Chesed Network is a work group of active congregants committed to ensuring that Kane Street functions as a caring community by coordinating and expanding our members' acts of G'milut Chasadim, such as:
- visiting congregants who are ill or homebound
- providing emergency transportation
- shopping for groceries
- preparing and delivering food
- participating in a Shiva Minyan at the home of a mourner
- performing simple home repairs
- providing emergency advocacy or other professional services
If you can help out in any of these areas (or any other area that is not on this list), please download this questionnaire, fill it out and mail it to the Kane Street office at 236 Kane Street, Brooklyn, New York 11231 to the attention of Jonathan Katz. .
